​​Grateful Danes is located in Littleton, CO



Grateful Danes began in 2002 when I started working at a boarding facility in high school owned by Pat Ciampa of Maitau Great Danes.  While working for Pat, I fell in love with the temperaments and beauty of her Danes, and it soon became my dream to own one of these magnificent animals.  After the pairing of two of my favorite dogs, I had to have one.  Pat (along with Helen and Tiffany Cross) allowed me to get my heart dog, Drake (Ch Maitau's Grateful Dane, CGC).   I continued to work for Pat for 5 years and gained invaluable mentoring from her.  I am forever grateful to Pat, Helen, and Tiffany for their wisdom, guidance and friendship.

I am a member of the Great Dane Club of Greater Denver, having served as President, Vice President, Co-Treasurer and board member.  I am also a member of the Great Dane Club of America, and the veterinary emergency and critical care society.  I am a Certified Veterinary Technician and offer handling.  My kennel name comes from two of my passions, Great Danes and The Grateful Dead.  I am supported in my ventures by my beautiful fiance Sara, and our three incredible children.
